Ready to fly AA back to Europe with my 2 basses...help!

Sign in to disble this ad
All,

I'm going to take a direct fligth abck hom from JFK in the next couple of weeks.

I have my 2 nicest basses with me (bought here in US!) fitting into a LowEnd doublegig bass. I can put the basses into a double golf ATA approved SKB case that I have already

My strong preference would be to take the double gig bag on board and I think I have some hopes according to the policy of AA that I'm flying with. It's my stronger preference because I think it'd be safer and because it'd avoid any agrument at custom at final destination. If I could carry the basses with me, I'd sell the case I mentioned (and it'd be pretty easy to do so).

The overall size of the golf case is 55"x22"x15" and it wights 30 pounds on his own.... probably an other 30 pounds the 2 bases with double gig bag. I have a free allowance of 20 pounds being a gold member of the OneWorld alliance.

Thank you guys!

Paolo
