Reborn as a bassist!

I used to give the simple bashers like Cliff Williams and Dusty Hill a hard time while I'd hamfistedly try to pull off a Jack Bruce or Felix Pappalardi imitation (I still LOVE those players).

I've been reborn, I just pump away throwing in the occasional cool thing if it doesn't sound too awkward, fallen in love with the root and at the same time fallen back in love with the bass. I've realized singing (which I do a lot of) is the most important thing and all we've gotta do as bassists is keep the song going along enthusiastically; as long as we are confident the simplest line can be the best. Link Wray's bassist Shorty Horton and his simple walks have also been an eye-opener.

I quit trying to hog the show on the bass and I sound better, feel better; I recommend it if you're in a rut.
