word of warning the lower end korg ones mute switch doesnt fully mute, kina sucks for true rackmount use but its alright to just unplug from the amp and plug into, i got mine realy cheap but just saying try to find one with a full functioning mute switch so that you only have to plug into one thing

other tbers recommendations?

yeah korg seems to be the standard.

I'd like to just have a cord running in the tuner in my rack like all the time...the GBE 1200 I have has two tuner outputs so I'd like to hook one up just full time to the tuner.

Thx dudes...

I have the DTR-2000 that I like very much, but I will say that the DRT-1000 would work just as well for me, for considerably less money... I bought my 2000 used, but like new from a trusted HCBF member for a less than I would've paid for a new 1000 - otherwise, I would've just gotten the 1000...

Those two Korgs are both more accurate than the Fender or Sabine racked tuners, FWIW... and both of the Korgs track down to a low A with no trouble at all, and quite quickly...

The sabine I have is okay. It you literally have to mute the strings to go on to the next one. However I paid 25 bucks for it, shipped, so I'm not complaining.

Nope. Wrong place. Rack tuners are not amps or cab related.

Moved to Misc.

You're welcome - been gigging my DTR-2000 for over a year now, and it's worked great... I mostly play a BEADG tuned 5er, but have tuned down to low A a couple of times, without any troubles... Get one of the Korgs - you won't be sorry...

Here's mine in my rack:

Actually, the only feature that the 2000 has over the 1000 that I've found useful is the light - it's come in handy for tweaking my amp on dark stages a few times...

I had a Sabine RT-7000 and didn't like it. It had MAJOR tone suck and was just not a snappy tuner. Sold it to my guitarist and got a Korg DTR-1000 from Rocketmusic here on TB. Love the Korg. It has no noticeable tone suckage and I've never had an issue with the mute relay. I've put a 1000 next to a 2000 before I bought and the slight difference between the two did not justify the additional coin. Your results might be different though.

Yes Sir, I have the folding Peterson, Very precise tuning and great for intonation. Well worth the bread spend.

I tried a Behringer but it went back to the store the very next day. I did not like it at all. Too slow and did not "recognize" a low B string on my 5. I went and got a Korg DTR-2000 and love it.

I'll add another +1 to the Korg suggestions. It's all I've ever used. I play a 5-string, and it has never had an issue locking onto the low B fundamental.
