Well, I didn't want to do this in the first place, but nobody seems to want to learn the bass, and everyone's taking guitar lessons from me, and I know how to play, but I don't have a guitar. So, I want to get a new guitar (my first). Not just a cheap guitar to begin with, but a guitar I can depend on. It'll be used for blues/fusion/rock, and playing scales.
I'm mainly looking for either a Stra, preferably with 3xsingle pickups. I like maple fingerboard, not too much curvature on the fingerboard. I'd like the action to be somewhat low. Preferably all white or near-white.
If there are another type of guitar I would buy, it would be something with natural finish, absolutely no coloring or burst. It'll probably have double humbuckers, and it's ok.
Brands I refuse to buy: Squier, Schecter, Ibanez (unless it's an Iceman)
Here are a few of my choices...
