For the past week, I've been in the mood for music, but nothing seems to cut it. I've tried Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rush, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Isis. That basically covers every genre I listen to. Right now, I'm listening to Dream Theater because that's the closest I can get right now, but it still doesn't cut it.

Based on your list, try King Crimson, specially this track:

Relocator - Relocator (The link's somewhere in the Recodings forum.)
Astra - The Weirding

I would have suggested King Crimson, but foq1978 got there first.

I'm just gonna throw some totally random **** out off my current playlist because it seems like you spanned a bunch of genres with your examples (Isis fits in that list?!)

Burst, Ghost Brigade, Elliot Smith, Captain Beyond, Dinosaur Jr., Spirit Caravan, Arctic Monkeys, Karnivool. Calexico, Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed you! Black Emperor, Eddie Veddar's Into the Wild soundtrack is quite good as well.

Also If you like Dream Theater check out the band Mutiny Within, new band who's debut album came out early this year. Heavily Dream theater and nevermore influenced. Heck, while you're at it check out nevermore. Personally one of my favorite bands.
