I do enjoy swing and i'm looking for a specific type. ure i like the slower stuff, but I'm in the mood for big loud brass, cymbals, crashing everywhere, Climatic swing. Any suggestions?

Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Glen Miller, Les Brown, Stan Kenton.

If you like more modern Big Band, Rob McConnel, Toshiko Akioshi, Jaco Pastorius Big Band...

You can't beat Ellington and Basie when it come to swing, there are plenty of "best of" cd's out for both of them.

The Buddy Rich band also is great stuff.

One great cd to check out is the GRP All Star Big Band. It has a little bit of everything. John Patitucci on URB.

Just to make sure, we are talking about Jazz swing and not Big Band Blues swing like Bobby Bland or Brian Setzer?
