Shakin' all over, Lucille (little Richard), Little Queenie, Fever, Feelin' alright, - all of which go over well in the blues/classic rock venues we play. |

We've got a few 90s songs, but most of our covers would fit right along any classic rock coverband.
Some of my favorites:
Mellow Yellow & Season of the Witch by Donavan
Under My Thumb & Play With Fire by The Stones
House of the Rising Sun by The Animals
and
Where Did You Sleep Last Night by Leadbelly

| | | | We do that quite often and take great old songs that bands don't play much. One song we do that always gets people dancing and bopping their heads is an instrumental tune - Time Is Tight by Booker T. & The M.G.s. We played it again last night and the dance floor got packed instantly. Donald "Duck" Dunn's cool bass groove drives the tune and is fun to play. We get lots of requests to play it since people really like it and know we are the only band around that plays it. And, we do it as a 3 piece guitar, bass, and drums band. |

1. Brick House - The Commadors | Played all the time around here by various Variety/Lounge bands.
Couple years ago, some guys I knew we putting together a '60s-'70s-'80s Pop band. Of course, "Brick House" & "Play That Funky Music" were on their to-do-list.
I asked "Why? ...these tunes have been played a gozillion times by a gozillion other bands & The Commodores have better tunes, blah".
Response: "These tunes are played so much because they're the ones people want to hear".
I didn't last too long...

- This one was used as the intro theme for a long-running Colombian sitcom.
- And this is another (currently) obscure classic Disco song. |
