Is anybody else sick of seeing ads for "Fender Precision Bass Guitar Refrigerator Magnets" on eBay in the "musical instruments" section? I mean seriously, why would anyone think that someone looking through the musical instruments ads on eBay would have any interest whatsoever in a Refrigerator Magnet? For that matter who would buy a freaking Refrigerator Magnet from eBay?

As far as advertisements go, I have a personal thing about NOT buying anything that was advertised to me in an irritating way. (However, I don't think I have ever even seen an advertisement on the internet for anything I had any interest in. ) |

Ebay didn't used to be like this-in the last few years a simple search opened all the filters and you get loads of cr@p in your fishing net now!
You think its bad with basses, search for a car or motorcycle! If its classic and collectible, there will be far more toys than real cars... |

Before we know it some bright spark is going to stoop so low as to try and combine the both the names into one. J |

It's just a magnet.
Open 'fridge door, insert head, chill.
(Incidentally, I have a coffee mug with a nice Fender P on it - and yes, I just might buy a couple of those magnets.) Quote:

No pronlem, really... | I only care because when you are looking for a bass and you keep coming across pictures of basses with low starting prices it gets frustrating when every time you click on one it keeps turning out to be a freaking REFRIGERATOR MAGNET!
Refrigerator magnets are not musical instruments and therefor should not be advertised as such. Not the end of the world mind you but very annoying all the same.

I mean hey...if wanted to read threads about refrigerator magnets I'd go to TalkRefrigeratorMagnets instead of TB. |

I really do...but you said it yourself - the low starting price is kinda telling. The seller prolly figgers that cats looking for P-basses might impulse buy knick-knacks, too. Just trying to feed his family, I suppose.
Everybody has a different frustration levels with things, I guess. Clicking a mouse 20 more times than I wanted to doesn't hit the threshold for me. |

Refrigerator magnets have nothing to do with musical instruments and therefor should not be included in any musical instruments section. Thank you for helping to illustrate my point.
