DAMN : !! I have watched this video 5 or 6 times and loved it. I put it down, then came back years later and watched again and was completely entharalled! ..If she isn't directly channelling James Brown then I don't know who is... please don't tell me I'm wrong as I am a HUGE fan boy and I haven't been this excited since I first heard the REAL JB on XERB radio broadcasting from SO. of the Mexican border with Wolfman Jack in the 60's!!!!!
She gets my blood flowing ...it's primal in the best sense!

She and her boys tore it up at Festival 8 a couple of years ago. Loving Cup

Should find its target audience here though .

I can understand the reference to JB, although I think it would be better to describe their similarities as a performance liking, as opposed to singing style or tone.
Her band kills it. Plain and simple, arguably some of the best musicians you'll ever see perform (I believe the bass player is the ring leader, although the guitarist does a bit of emcee duties).
I would recommend anyone go see her live if you ever get a chance.
