I kind of like it. I fixed up a burned Strat once, and it turned out so cool that I did this to it:

If you look closely, the logo says "Custom Charbroiled Body".

*PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO TELL ME YOU DO NOT LIKE IT I DON'T CARE*

I'd kind of like to email him to say he spelled *Squier* wrong.

Flagged- weak. The guy was pretty straightforward, stating right out of the gate that it is a Squier, not Fender- also went into good detail on his technique. CL: From amusing to annoying & everything in between.

Fender Strat Relic (Salisbury Area)

Reply to: sale-mjx9m-1558837367@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

For sale is my Early 90's Fender Strat Relic...First of all this THIS IS A SQUIRE STRAT...Im not trying to pass it off as a super expensive Fender...it is what it is...Now this is a very special guitar...This is the second Strat i have made into a burnt relic...I hand make each one of these by hand and there are only 2 known to man in exhistence and i have made and have possesion of both of them This is #2. This guitar was meticulously disassembled and each individual component was burned by hand. It was then painstakenly cleaned, re-wired and assembled, set-up, tuned and played! This is not a conversation peice to hang up on the wall...This has been my main guitar for some time now, but i want to sell it to someone who thinks its as cool as i do to enjoy...Just the look on peoples faces when you pull this charred strat out of the case...thier minds race! What happened to it? was it found in an old house? its jus endless...everyone wants to talk about it when they see it! Use your imagination...This guitar is set up to play tho! The action is SUPER low it plays amazing! Pictures do not do this guitar justice...I have put hours into making this guitar what it is now...again the pictures FLAT OUT dont do it justice...I will only sell this guitar locally so you can see it and PLAY it first hand...Please feel free to e-mail me with questions, concerns, offers, or to set up a time to meet. to answer the FAQ, no it doesnt stink like firewood, the "patina" is permenant it dont come off, and yes it really was on fire, its charred in some spots...ive seen others burn spots with torches...this is done RIGHT (assuming your into this kind of "relicing" some think its ridiculous) I would rather pull this bad boy out of a case and start ripping than a new shiney strat ANYDAY!!! Its just amzing to look at and play!! Thanks for looking!
****IF THE SAME PERSON THAT FLAGGED THIS LISTING IS THE SAME PERSON THAT SENT ME THAT RIDICULOUS NASTY EMAIL CALLING ME AN IDIOT, A LITTLE IMMATURE ARENT WE? DONT EMAIL SOME ONE YOU DONT FRIGGIN KNOW CALLING THEM AN IDIOT AND BE OFFENDED WHEN THEY TELL YOU AL LITTLE SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF ****

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME TO TELL ME THAT YOU DO NOT LIKE WHAT IM DOING I DO NOT CARE. I LIKE IT AND LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE DO TOO

Personally, I think relicing is stupid, but to each his own. Why did they remove it? Can't a guy sell a guitar if he wants to, no matter how abused it's been? If he finds someone else who appreciates his sort of art, then good for him.

Reminds me of the Strat that Hendrix burned, that Frank Zappa was holding on the cover of Guitar Player years ago.

+1 to ggunn, I wouldn't want one, but I'm sure there are plenty that do. He's honest about the condition, what else is required?
