so heresthe deal my guitar player helps run sound for this guy and they need a bass head for a show. He offered me $100 to use my head, its an ampeg svt3 for the night. He will be running it through an ampeg 810 if that makes any difference. I am thinking wheather or not I should do it, I know if I let him use it my guitarist will be the one setting it up and I have no wories their, just not sure how hard they are going to be pushing it and how the amp will handle it.

I don't think an SVT3 will hurt an Ampeg 8x10 cab and vice versa. As long as your guitarist keeps his eye on it, I think it's a quick way to make a hundred bucks.

Dude, it's money in your pocket, and if you trust your buddy, do it to help him out. And your amp and that cab will never be pushed too hard. Trust me.

I did, and my 77 SVT was used by Sammy Hagar's bassist...
My guitarist did it with his VOX AC30, ended up being played by, and signed by Robin Hitchcock.

Right now I have 3 speakers getting reconed right now from letting other people use my stuff.

2 15s and 1 10.

That's going to be a few hundred bucks right there.

This is another reason you don't "lend" stuff to friends...

$100/night is about twice the going rate for a bass head from most backline rental companies, so I'd say go for it.
