The rest of the band is listening to me!

Okay, so I'm at uni, in a band situation. The first time around, we were forced to play the song "Summertime", as well as another song of our choice. One of the other band members chose an Amy Winehouse song, which did not please me. But it's over and done with now.

They mixed it up a little bit, and I have some new people. This time, we're not assigned songs, so we could choose. Because we had three singers, they decided on what to sing. I suggested "Instinct" by Crowded House, and the decision was unanimous. They liked it.

So now I'm putting in, and people seem to like my decisions. It's only my third time playing live, but I'm looking forward to playing the song "Instinct". It's probably my favourite song by the band.

That's cool. I was thinking the thread may have been centered on bandmates listening to each other.

Either way, being able to have positive input is a good feeling. Hopefully your instincts stay good.
