"Reverse notation" software?

Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone know of a program that can notate music on a staff as it's being played? It would be really helpful to me to be able to see the lines I just played through changes, ect., and then see where I can improve.

They used something like that in the (awful) movie "Drumline", but I'm not taking that as legit evidence, judging by everything else false in that movie, such as them portraying a college drumline like it's friggin blood diamond or something.

Any programs you know of?

Thanks!

There's research going on as we write to convert music as we hear it, analyze it, be able to pick out the instruments and convert it to midi for analysis.

You might want to check this out: http://www.intelliscore.net/product.html After recording your playing, you can use a sequencer program to edit and/or convert the MIDI file to notation and print it out.
