A rhythm section to die for...

Last night a local singer-songwriter named Joey Brucato did a CD release party here in Rochester NY. Tony Levin and Steve Gadd were the rhythm section for the show. Levin's Music Man tone was absolutely killer. The rest of the seven piece band including Brucato kicked butt as well. Seeing Gadd and Levin playing together in a very intimate club setting was indeed a treat. For kicks the group played homage to them by including covers of Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" (Gadd's first #1) and Gabriel's "Salisbury Hill" Late in the show the two did solo spots that brought the packed house down. A truly special night.......
