found the true meaning of "sport" "utility" vehicle"

Best rig hauler I've ever owned, and I've owned a few.

I don't have a picture handy, but I love my 2008 Honda CRV. I can easily fit a 410, head, luggage and bass in the back compartment without folding the back seats, and the deep well makes loading very easy (very low to the ground). The gear also sits below the very nice black-out rear windows, so the stuff is pretty much out of site for those overnights in hotel parking lots.

And... all wheel drive to get you to the gig in any weather, and still right around 30MPG on the highway

That's a NICE ride you have there!

That BMW is not a SUV, it is a "sports wagon". In the BMW line the X5 and X3 and maybe the X6 are considered SUVs.

I think the main difference is the distance from the ground and overall height of the vehicle.

hahhahaha....Mr. Technical responds!

Trust me, it's handles like a sports car and is designed for maximum "utility".

Like this uberhandy cargo tray. Gotta love German over-engineering!

That cargo tray is a great touch - and extremely German. I've driven Audi and BMW for years, although we also own Chevy and Jeep.

My rig hauler is a 1999 Chevy Blazer, and I'm sure there is no one in the Yew-Nyted Statez who doesn't know that those look like. It's not an exciting vehicle, but after 137,000 miles it's running strong and extremely dependable.

I've come to really appreciate it. 20 MPG on the highway, and it swallows a 1x15 cab, 4x10 cab, two heads, two basses, a pair of PA speakers, PA head, misc. equipment bags and cases...and incidentals. Then it carries me and my wife to gigs.

Bump! I drive a 1999 Toyota RAV4 whenever I have to haul my gear. Same vehicle description and characteristics as KJung listed.

I don't have any pictures, but I own a 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser.. back seats fold down, or can be completely removed to give a ton of space for my Ampeg full stack and many basses... totally handy, and easy to load gear in and out of....
