Rig Pics from All Good festival, Oteil, Claypool, and others.

I took a trip down to WV a couple of weeks ago to see the All Good Music Festival. Here's some pics I took of some of the bass players and their gear.

Here's some pics I got of Oteil and the Pacemakers:

His rig:

Oteil was one of my favorite. He kicked off the four day event early on Friday and there were not many people there watching him (shame). I got to get up really close. He was pretty amazing.

Here's a shot of Claypool's rig. Holy Ampeg! Do I see 4 heads?

Umphrey's McGee - Ryan Stasik: Lakland bass, GK head, Ampeg Cab

Robert Randolf and the Family Band - Danyel Morgan: Modulus Quantum 6, 2 Mesa Big Block heads, 2 Mesa 4x10 cabs

SOJA (soldiers of jah army) - Bob Jefferson: Stingray 5, Ampeg head, Ampeg Cab

Tea Leaf Green - Ben C.: Marcus Miller sig. Fender Jazz, GK head, SWR 410 cab

Galactic - Robert Mercurio: Fender P, Ampeg head and cab

This was the Side Stage house rig that many bass players used throughout the weekend (Ampeg Head and SWR 410's)

Enjoy!

Sweet! Thanks for the pics. I didn't know Oteil was using Epifani gear these days. He was all about Ampeg for a long time. We had a chat once and he mentioned the rig he played through at the Bass extremes concert at Iridium, two UL410's and a Epi pre and poweramp. He was totally enamoured with that rig, I guess it was about time to make the move.

Thanks again

There were quite a few fantastic bands at the AGMF that I wasn't able to get pictures of. Mostly because I was enjoying the music and penetrating the crowd near the stage was too much work.

Greyboy Allstars put on an awesome latenight show.

Trey Anastasio & Mike Gordon with Benevento/Russo Duo blew my mind with a nonstop 2 hour set.

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals were my favorite new find (new to me). I had never even heard of them, but their 30 minute side stage performance was awesome.

Ween, was Ween. Odd, but very good.

Les Claypool was his usual unusual self. Talk about effects. His tone was all over the place. Strumming, slapping, bowing, envelope filters, distortion, etc. He's not my type of player, but I have to give him credit for doing so much on the bass in one show.

I thought the Black Crows headliner performance was weak.

Tons of great bands, four days of music, and all for $89 (early bird special). Getting in and out of the place was a breeze, and camping was great. I'd say it was worth the drive form Boston.

I am envious..I really wanted to catch a Trey/Mike/Duo show and I love the Greyboy Allstars but have never seen them. I try to make one big festival a year, last year was Vegoose and it was great..but this Allgood lineup is even better..love it pretty much top to bottom.

I messed up..shoulda flown out.

Vegoose lineup announcement Aug 2nd. Thanks for the pics!

Great shots and info! Interesting an ampeg/swr combination.
You notice with a couple of exceptions there weren't many monster rigs. How times have changed.
