I wasn't much into his music, but RIP anyway.

Mike

Interesting to note that age needn't be a hindrance to playing.

Quine was in this late 30s when he was playing in the late 70s NYC punk scene and around 50 when he recorded Matthew Sweet's "Girlfriend" CD.

Just heard about this. If I could play guitar, I'd want to play like him. Man, drugs suck..........

I'll give Richard Hell & The Voidoids a spin in his honor.

"Blank Generation" Is one of the most underrated records of punk and rock music, and Richard Hell & the Voidoids are just as woefully underappreciated.

RIP Mr. Quine

Robert Quine RIP

I was flying home from Chicago yesterday and listened to Girlfriend on the headphones, some amazing guitar work from Quine and Richard Lloyd. RIP.
