Robert Fripp records for Windows Vista

Robert Fripp was on the Microsoft campus a few weeks back. He's the famous guitarist and composer, known for his founding role in the band King Crimson. Charles Torre (a big King Crimson fan) was invited over by Steve Ball to film the session.

In the video, it appears that the recording engineer is using ProTools on Windows, though. Figures.

I don't think Fripp or Eno are sell-outs (I know you were just kidding) in composing these sound bites. I think its a pretty cool gig. What a great opportunity to plant a little seed of a sound in the heads of a lot of people who never would hear your sounds otherwise. And hand it to MS for having somebody with enough taste to hire these guys instead of some "flavor-of-the-month" pop star to do it.

Maybe MS should hire some cutting edge graphic artists to design some "Windows Schemes" so we have a fresh look to go with the sounds
