Rock n Roll dance music suggestions please

Sign in to disble this ad
My cover band does everything from Stand By Me to AC/DC. What we need more of is rock songs like You Shook Me All Night Long that MAKES people dance. We have 1 guitar, bass, drums and 3 vocals. I am not a funky bass player and we all have our limitations. We do straight up rock and roll the best and songs like You Shook Me, 867-5309 and Honky Tonk Women are examples of what we do that gets people dancing. Please suggest some songs for me. Thanks in advance for all your help

The Ramones are surprisingly good for getting people dancing. Rock'n'Roll High School, Sheena is a Punk Rocker, I Wanna be Sedated, Blitzkrieg Bop, etc.

The B52's are another reliable choice. "Rock Lobster", etc.

What about the real "classic" rock n roll. For example Elvis, Chuck Berry and so on. Classic songs like Jailhouse Rock, Johnny B. Goode, Rock n Roll Music. I dunno will people dance when they here these but at least people in the 50's-60's did.

Gee, I know a few....

Brown Eyed Girl
Mustang Sally
Sweet Home Alabama.

Audiences generally love those, and bands are sick to death of playing them.

Enjoy.
