Roger Waters using a 5 string?

Hello, please re-direct me if necessary. I have always wondered on Pink Floyds song Another Brick In The Wall, did Roger Waters use a 5 string when recording the song? Or did he use a bass with the E string tuned down to D?

I imagine it would have been tuned down.

I have a feeling Waters wouldent know what to do with a five string bass.

It's a 4 string tuned down to DADG. Lots of Pink Floyd songs were recorded with that tuning. Listen to "One of the These Days" from Pink Floyd's Meddle album as another example.

I thought he used a 5 string on Comfortably numb. I read somewhere it was a fretless five that used the Open B...

I wonder if you could find live videos from the time it came out. That might answer your question.
