Question Roland PK5 not working

Sign in to disble this ad

Hey guys- if anyone has experience with this unit I'd appreciate some help here. I've had my PK-5A pedals for about six months now. I've used them primarily for triggering a Moog Taurus VST emulator in Cantabile Lite using a small 1x1 MIDI USB interface. It always worked fine- when the pedals arrived, I took them out of the box, plugged them in, and they worked. Fast forward to last month- one day I go to play them and I get nothing. They just stop working. I tried resetting the unit to the factory default. No good. Thought maybe the MIDI cable that came with it was shot, so I grab a new one. No good. Even tried picking up a new MIDI USB interface. Still nothing. The settings in Cantabile are set so the input device is the MIDI interface, but it's not detecting anything. I'm all out of ideas, and while I wait for a reply from Roland I figured I'd see if any of you guys could help me out. Thanks!!

Don't know, maybe a problem with Cantabile itself. every year or so, it flips out majorly, and I have to reinstall it. I did have a problem when I had one of my keyboards USB-MIDI'ed in to it, and it wasn't detecting it. I'll try and remember what I did to fix it.
