I'm playing the kickoff concert at NAMM Wednesday night January 13th at the Hilton on the Hilton Stage at 6 PM. I'll be playing with 2 great Nashville Musicians (Shane Roberts on guitar and Tim McDonald on keyboards) as well as the incomparable Rick Latham on drums.
We'll be doing material from my new CD Urban Legend-come by if you can!
At the show I will be at the Carvin Booth, the Learning Dock Booth (the folks who bring you Teach Me Bass Guitar) and possibly the Cort/Westheimer Booth for Groove Tools.
There's a preview of my music here: www.royvogt.com
and here's the NAMM link: http://www.namm.org/thenammshow/2010/events

Coz at the moment i really want to learn all the basic-basic stuff, since i'm a self taught bassist in my so call band. From 1 to 10 maybe i can rate myself at 5, imho. I want to improve on all the scales, how to do a solo, etc..etc...and also about the terms, like what is a quarter note or 16th note, and so on...wanted to go to music school but can't afford it.
Anyway, how can we get your cds? I haven't visit your website yet, but i watched your clip on youtube and got me thinking this might help. Cheers..

I think you'll really like the "Teach Me Bass Guitar" course. It's tailor-made for instruction in places where teachers are hard to come by.
Thanks for all the support guys! Cheers! |

A Groove is a Terrible Thing to Waste! | Yep, I'm playing Carvin, Conklin and Modulus basses. All the fretless work is my Carvin Claro Walnut LB-76WFP and the tune Amen Corner is my LB-76 with the Music Man type pickup and piezos.
A lot of the rest is my Conklin Bill Dickens 7 and Modulus Quantum 6 is on a couple of solos.
Thanks for your kind words |

I also loved the CD and enjoyed meeting you at the show. I've been busy all week editing photo's ( I had over 500 keepers after editing). But I'm going to post a review of the CD, it is great stuff.

It was one of the best shows I've experienced in a long time.
And I'm really digging the CD as well.
