Apparently there is this huge controversy around the Beatles that suggests Paul McCartney is dead.
I have heard several different stories, all seem suspiciously true, but how am I to really know? You have to admit though... Paul is always treated differently on album art and the such.
Could the truth being revealed be related to the murder of John, and the attack upon George???
What are your opinions on the matter??

What are your opinions on the matter?? | Well, the truth will be revealed when you track down and buy a vinyl-player (aka "turntable"), the appropriate vinyl, and then play the vinyl backwards. |

| | | I heard the rumor, but nothing like a “huge controversy”…
I don’t believe it, personally, but I don’t delve into such things.

| | | | I have a list that I've compiled of some 40 or so "clues" about this. Certainly these are not coincidences, so some chicanery was going on for one reason or another. I'll spare the details for now, but I sure that the composer and singer of Penny Lane, Blackbird, Hey Jude, You Never Give Me Your Money and a host of other songs is one James Paul McCartney and not one William Campbell (see photo of bespectacled man on poster in white album).

| | | | I find it hard to believe, but once again, I do not know... I always leave an open end for these type of conspiracy theories. If anything... it could be a giant gag... something the Beatles found to be a fun little set of trickery and games.

I was once told the same rumor, by an ex live-in-girlfriend. I kind of laugh about it now, as She turned out to be nutty'er than a squirrel turd. I think I even recall Her telling Me about a certain race of people being alien/human hybrids (this one really raised a red flag and had Me head'n for the door). |

Some seem plausible. Some are nonsense.
This was a bit of a big deal back in the '60's. Google for the story and clues

I could see myself believing that. Not so much a race of humans being aliens, but aliens being humans... possibly from the future no less!
Think about it... How many bipeds aside from humans, walk on two legs, have two arms with digits, and a neck/head like ours? Monkeys can walk on two legs, but they usually walk long distances on all fours or swing from trees. Aliens look like humans... yet there is barely anything else on this planet that looks like humans as well. HMM?!?!?!?!?

Lot's of phone calls to lots of numbers that night. I don't remember if anything was revealed.

| | | | I remember the guitarists in my band begging me to watch that. I then showed them the original interview where George supposedly said, "Fall McCartney" or w/e. Come to find out, he actually said Paul, and the director of that movie had doctored a lot of footage. |

Coming from someone here(talkbass), I can actually believe there was some comprehensive thought put behind it. This Ex-GF I'm speaking of, no way.
With that said. I'll need to ponder on the thought that We just may be in future tense a time traveling hybrid alien race, and Paul McCartney of now is an imposter. However, If You for a second give Me evidence to question Your sanity, I will go back to full belief that it's all non-sense talk.

The initial 'clues' were:
(1) John Lennon says "Cranberry Sauce" twice at the end of the original release of "Strawberry Fields Forever" as the song fades out. The enunciation of "Cranberry Sauce" sounds remotely like "I buried Paul". You can hear the "Cranberry Sauce" phrase more clearly on the Takes 7 + 26 version on Anthology 2 album.
(2) Paul is facing backward on the rear cover the Sgt. Pepper's album, although he is facing forward on the front cover and the inner sleeve photo.
(3) Paul sings "Took her home, I nearly made it" in the song "Lovely Rita" on the Sgt. Pepper's
(4) The Beatles had quit touring in 1966.
Later 'clues':
(5) John Lennon sings "and here's another clue for you all, the walrus was Paul" in the song "Glass Onion" on The Beatles (White Album), which was a reference to the cover of the Magical Mystery Tour album. Clearly, the Beatles were humorously playing along with the rumor by that point.
(6) Paul is walking with bare feet on the Abbey Road album cover. This is rumored to look like a funeral procession with John as preacher (white suit), Paul as corpse, Ringo as pall bearer (?), and George as grave digger.
(7) Paul's photo has a red background on the Let It Be album cover, and the other member have white background photos.
There are other so-called clues, but those are the only ones that I recall. The rumor is unsubstatiated nonsense in my opinion. If the rumor is true, then someone did well to find an excellent sound-alike doppleganger of Paul.

In fear that many people would commit suicide. I believe the police had something to do with covering up the rumor. Quote:

| | A figment of our exaggeration | | Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Way Out West | | | The "Sgt Pepper" cover itself contains many of the "clues"
Like AkwardLoudness said above, Paul faces backward on the rear cover
The patch on the shoulder of paul's uniform appears to read O.P.D. (Offically Pronounced Dead) Really Ontario Provencial Police.
The toy car on the doll's knee is said to be the type of car he died in
The open hand above Paul's head is a symbol of death
George's thumb points to the lyrics "Wednesday morning at five o'clock" (The time of death)
The wax figure Beatles appear to be looking down on a grave
On and on it goes.
Quite a reach, most of them... | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
