I just saw it. Hilarious movie! Pretty enlightening as well. Sebastian Bach had some funny lines. Lots of love for the guys. Some incredible footage and photos from the early days. Even a clip of Rutsy introducing the band and the song. Neil was actually jovial in his interview segments. Highly recommended. Stay after the credits start to see the guys all drunk over dinner discussing things.

So many great moments in that movie. A must-see for any Rush fan. I saw it at my local theater and will be buying it when it comes out on DVD on 06/29.

I enjoyed the Gene Simmons parts, and the Sebastian Bach parts too. But, what I came away with more than anything, was the friendship between the 3 of them and especially between Geddy and Alex. They seem like really cool, down to earth guys who love what they do. As a major Rush-nerd, I enjoyed all the old footage and stories from the early days. It was all great.

Just walked in from this and I was blown away!
My wife even liked it.

The best interviewee was probably Jack Black. Bottle of Rocket Sauce FTW!

Just saw it.

It was a great movie and a really well-documented and researched film with great flow. Everyone who can should at least check it out.

I saw it last night. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I like every movie Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen have produced.

It was beyond what I could have expected. I thought I knew quite a bit about the 3 guys, but I learned a lot more. And it is one hilarious movie. Really down to earth guys, and the movie does a great job of letting you into their lives and career and helps you appreciate all the work they did over the years.

I'll be picking up the DVD later this month too, supposed to be extra footage that didn't make the movie cut.

The interviews were incredible, and the adoration sincere. I did think Jack Black was trying a bit too hard to be funny, but the other stuff was just spontaneous hilarity. The friendship between the three is very close. When Neil was going through his stuff, Geddy commented that there was no replacing anybody- Rush did not exist without those three guys. Glad they included the guitar synthesizer arguments, with Alex saying "Why did I have to try to find space?" I thought the tone of the movie was set when Neil mortally wounds Alex at the beginning of the film.

Yeah, this will be in my DVD collection and watched many times.

I thought the movie was amazing. The humor and the true love the fans have for these 3 guys could not have come across any clearer. Neil cracked me up when he talked about being "freaked out" by fans. The Steven Colbert Clip was great. The synth wars was so dead on. I myself was turned off by them after Power Windows and wasn't re-introduced until Roll The Bones.

I will be getting the DVD!!!!

Also the argument between Alex and the guy recording Counterparts:

Alex: "I want my pedals!"

Guy: "No"

Alex: "I want my reverb!"

Guy: "No"

Alex: "I want my reverb!!!!"

Guy: "No, you sound like **** with reverb. Just play!"

Alex: "I want my reverb!"

Guy: "We'll talk about it over drinks, now just play."

I asked for this on Blu-Ray for Father's Day. Yeah it'll be a few days late, but that's OK. Can't wait to see it!

Such a giggle throughout. The interview w/ the parents was just hysterical. But I think they really did show the deep adoration amongst the three of them, even the "new guy". I'm really quite surprised they got as much freely out of Neil about that 5 year period. But those segments also showed how deep their bond really is. His sending postcards with all the nicknames to let them know he was okay and still thinking about them.

But the ending around the dinner table showed me everything I ever suspected about them.

My wife loved it.

Saw it in Sac last night too. It's as good as everyone says, and you don't have to be a Rush fan to enjoy it. It's interesting on its own.

If you haven't seen it: SEE IT

If it won't be coming near you: ORDER THE DVD NOW

Fantastic. Brilliant. Wonderful.

Even my 13 year old stepdaughter that doesn't know Rush from Justin Bieber thought it was fantastic.

It's that good.

I've just sent an e-mail to Rounder Records asking if a version with Spanish subtitles of the DVD will be released. I don't have much problem with it being just in English, but I'd like to watch it with friends and relatives who need the subtitles.
