Rush quote in the new Dune book

When I read one of the quotes atop a chapter in the new Dune book, Hunters of Dune, I was a bit suspicious. Then when I figured it out I laughed out loud:

PEARTEN = Peart, N. = Neil Peart. It's a paraphrase of a quote from "Freewill"!

kevin anderson is very cool. i had the opportunity to go to a few of his seminars at dragon con on writing. good stuff. he was very approachable and helpful.

he's putting out a book next year (it's done now, just getting published by dc) called "the last days of krypton", about, well, the last days of krypton. in all the history of superman, nobody has ever done anything about that before.

That's awesome, and reminds me I need to go out and buy that book. I forgot it was coming out. Dune is my all-time favorite Sci-Fi series and I've read them all, including the new ones numerous times over the last 30 years or so.

Heh - I think Level 8 is a bit high - I mean, it's not really that rare of an event, probably?

Anyway - ah, I didn't know they were friends. Hmm, there were probably more that I didn't find. I think there have been some other quotes that were attributed to "ancient philosophers" like that. I just finished the book last night. Holy cow!!
