That setlist is amazing! And the stage setup is pretty badass too. Looks like the 16 hour drive to Seattle will be worth it

Two songs from the first four LPs. That's a shame...

Yeah. I was hoping for some more obscure early tunes.

Did Geddy sound like he was using the new Orange gear? I sure hope so.

Good luck getting decent tickets! Unless you are getting scalped! Their good and decent tickets usually go pretty quickly. This tour they have gone amazingly fast. Of course the whole ticketmaster/broker/legal scalping thing has not helped either.

It is largely supposed to be about Moving Pictures in its entirety. I could live without Spirit of Radio and Freewill yet again and probably a few others but what are you gonna do...

That was one hell of a show! The band sounded great and looked like they had a great time, too. Anyone with tickets to see this show is in for a treat.

I know Geddy has been straight DI on tour for a while now. It looks like Alex is doing something similar now, as well. I imagine that stage is pretty quiet. The band definitely finds some pretty amusing props to fill the space where they would have normally setup amp stacks. The steam that kept pumping out of the machines behind Alex was cool!

Thanks, fleabee, for posting the vids on youtube!

EDIT: CapnSev - Hopefully someone else will chime in about Orange gear. I'm super new to the bass, so I wouldn't know said gear if it hit me in the head.

Great to see Presto! on the list. I think that's one of their best--and most under-rated--songs. They'll be in DooDah on 8/20, and I got my tix the first day on sale (floor, up close).

Does anyone know if Geddy is using a new Taurus 3 bass pedal, or his old T1? (I'm curious because I just got my T3--#485/1000--a couple of weeks ago, after a 16-month wait since my pre-order. More on that to come...)

I'm guessing Alex has his amplifiers mic'd backstage, and just hears the monitor and his IEM's.

And from the sound of the videos, Geddy still has that trebly, clanky bass tone which I would imagine he'd have regardless of the amplifier he's plugging into.

Geddy's bass tone rumbled the floor, but also had plenty of treble, clankiness, and overdrive. Granted, I was sitting (standing, really!) maybe 15 or 20 feet away from the subs on the floor. So I definitely felt his lower notes in my chest.

Somewhat related... The subs on the floor in front of the stage seemed to have 15" drivers in them. I'm pretty sure the configuration was dual 2x15" cabs on each side of the stage. I would have imagined they'd have 18" drivers and more of them... Especially for an outdoor concert. But I know little about PA equipment. It sounded great and had lots of punch.
