Wow I guess things didnt go his way.....I saw Steve Vai play at the exact same venue with no complaints from him. I am comparing apples to oranges I guess.

see, i don't get this. at all. everyone gets crappy sound every so often. well, in my case, we get it a LOT because soundpeople tend to never listen to a bunch of girls and then blame us for what's wrong.

but still, you're gettin' paid. do your job.....i am ass-uming, of course, that mr. adams was getting paid for this gig.

Minneapolis is full of GREAT sound people

It is odd that he had this issue, well, maybe not for him. I wouldn't know him from anybody.

Here in the Twin Cities we have a school, a real no kidding darned good school for sound engineers. They cover live sound really well. I personally know several of their graduates and these guys are skilled.

Most of the small, basically single person companies here are highly skiled.

Best of Luck,
Wesley R.

Apparently he's from my town. I had never heard of him until a couple of months ago.

Sounds like he needs to stay away from Minneapolis.

I've met him, and he is a pretty conceited jerk. Also, keep your women away from him...

Maybe they do. It could explain why he's a jerk.

I saw him once in Madison. Somebody yelled out "Summer of '69" and he had some egotistical comment about him making more money in one year than the heckler would in a lifetime or something. Screw that guy--Adams, I mean. There was a guy who supposedly offered to *pay* people if they yelled out Bryan Adams songs. Hahaha.

Unfortunately, this guy is better-known for his outbursts than he is for his music (which is often pretty good). A while back, he left an angry voicemail on a music critic's answering machine, and it got passed around the Internet:

What's crazy is that he'd recently been telling reporters that he'd cleaned up his act, gotten off the drugs and alcohol, and matured. Maybe he's relapsing now.

I've seen a lot of shows at the State Theater... Great venue... Never ever have I noticed bad sound there.

Disclaimer: I think Ryan Adams sucks.

I love the guitarists quote.

"I don't know what the story was, I just play guitar."

He sounds like a jerk.

What negative things did he say about Paul Westerberg?
