Sad songs?

Sign in to disble this ad
I wanna learn a sad, expressive and yet a powerful song! ?

Any tips?

It doesn't have to be on bass, i can easily transpose it if it's not going between alot of octaves.

There's a zillion sad songs out there-one that's not too hard to transpose to bass is "Yesterday" by the Beatles.

Oh Injury - Rasputina

If you know how to tap, Moonlight Sonata is very solemn.

"The Trees" by Rush. It has a classically-based intro for ya!

Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven. Stu Hamm taps it out now and then, so I'm sure you can find a how-to somewhere on the interweb.

Hmm... you could try tapping George Winston's 'Autumn Moon', it is a sad song.

Sad songs and waltzes aren't selling this year...

The theme to Schindler's List might sound neat on a fretless...though I think Itzhak Perlman with his violin cannot be beaten.

Morphine - Saddest Song, Swing It Low

Anything by Tom Waits will be solemn. Same thing for Iron and Wine.
