Sam Ash - can deals be had?

I've had great luck in getting some pretty good deals at Guitar Center over the years. However, they don't stock Eden cabs, and I'm getting an itch to try a D210XST.

That brings me to Sam Ash - I have a pretty big one about a half-hour drive from my place, and they have the exact cab I want.

Are they willing to deal, like GC, in order to get the business? Any war stories, positive or negative, are appreciated.

Like you, the Sam Ash I frequent is not very close.. plus making it worse I have to take a bus to get there. Over the years I've made quite a few purchases at the Westminster Sam Ash and always found their prices to be worth that long ride. Get on their website before you go and 'research up' for 45 minutes or so.. maybe even call their toll-free number. Enjoy the deals!

I haven't bought any big ticket items there recently, but when I did they were generally willing to deal. Maybe it helped that I had been buying pretty regularly for a while?

Definitely worth asking, though. The worst they can do is say no. And if youo're a regular customer (or eventually become one) you can point that out. Just do it in a non-controntational manner. That seems to have beeen far more effective for me than going in with my guns blazing.

I wish my GC or Sam Ash has deals, every time i see a "good buy" its after I've spent a bit o' change on something recent.
