Sammy Hagar to Rejoin Van Halen?

Sign in to disble this ad
Sammy says there is a 90% chance he will rejoin Van Halen. Personally, I think he is better off on his own.

I thought it was more dependant on what Eddie says more than anything.

I think if Sammy is smart he will steer clear of that mess and stay with Chickenfoot and solo work.

I saw Sammy solo last summer and he was on top of his game. His show had a lot of energy and felt more genuine than I would think a reunion tour would be with VH. I think he should move on.

Although I always thought it would be cool to have Sammy and Dave both join for a set of shows and switch off songs or sets. But I think it would violate some laws of physics to have Sammy, Dave and Eddie all get along.

Agreed. Why should they? Sammy and Michael are doing good.

Best to stay clear of 5150-land!.

Meh. They haven't been relevant since 1985.

Please oh please no reality show for VH!! Let them die a graceful death . . . if that's even possible.

Please dear lord baby jesus say it aint so. I loved Van Halen & Van Hager but...... The Van Halen camp is a trainwreck and don't get me started on Dave....... Sammy and Michael Anthony are much better off with Chickenfoot or anything else. Neither need the money and the VH ship has sailed. I would rather have Sammy go solo again.

EVH has lost it. Not as much as Charlie Sheen, but he is in la-la-land. I would hope that Sammy is smart enough to stay away from the train wreck that is "Van Halen" thee days.

I don't want to begrudge Sammy for doing a reunion tour as it's ultimately his decision and I'll respect that. But as others have said, I personally think it would be kind of lame. Sammy oozes talent and I'd hate to see him do what would ultimately be a classic rock show nostalgia tour that it seems like every washed up AOR band does. Granted, Van Halen probably still has enough value to play arenas rather than the normal county fair that such groups play. Again, it's Sammy's decision and I'm sure he has his reasons if he chooses to do such a thing.

Either way, this is a good thread to link to some Nerf Herder.

Mike got 25% from day one all the way until he left. Of course the VH bros eventually didn't like that as they thought they should get more.

Eddie Van Halen lost it a long time back. He said he got cancer from his metal pick picking up radiation from the amps or something since he used to run them at full blast and not from smoking 50 cigarettes a day. HAHA

I hope Sammy and MA don't rejoin Van Halen. I think it's obvious why they have done the reunion tour, it's the money. I bet they'll return to their old B******* after the tour ends.
