Sanford-Orlando area........Good or Bad music scene for weekend warriors

I am at "home" doing jam band style jazz/fusion (scofield, herbie, meters, cobham, jeff beck, etc, etc). I also dig straight up R&R, original or covers and the harder the better (mule, zep, crowes, sabbath, stones, etc) However, I am at ease doing the "typical" cover/variety band (country as well).

I am looking at possibly re-locating to the Sanford-Orlando area.....whats up with the scene down there given my interests??? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
