talkin to my buddy who is a truely gifted bassist. the sansamp, accordin to him is a killer piece of equiptment. if so, why do i see so many for sale in the classified section?

I dont know, but, if your talking about the Bass Driver DI (there are a number of Tech21 sansamp units), then i must admit i love mine, im only going to sell it for one of two reasons:

1) If i get an RBI, its the Bass Driver in rackmount form with an added mid dial

2) If i get a programable Bass Driver, its the same as what i have now but essentially 3 channels you can set!

So, well, i really like mine anyways

Yeah mostly due to the reasons detailed above ie. upgrades etc, but also take into account it's probably the most common pedal out there amongst bass players even the pro's love it.....

Just because somebody is selling something doesn't necessarily mean that it is a bad piece of equipment. I mean think about it, people sell Fodera basses and stuff. The Tech-21 sansamp is a great direct box and distortion pedal.

I've bought both of my Sansamps off of here. I bought an RBI & an RPM. I prefer the tone of the RPM, but the RBI is still nice to have. Eventually-i'd like to pick up their PSA in addition to several of the pedals [i can't always bring my rack w/me].
