Why even ask?

Satch hands down. He has the best feel and is IMO the best gutiarist ever...Sure others can play faster and more technical, he can shred if he wants, but he plays for hte music.

Given the options, I'd go with Satriani, hands down.

I'm not much of a fan of either, but Satriani is by far the more accomplished player.

Slash has more money and gets more chicks.

One Slash riff will forever be a Guitar Center staple. No one plays any Satch @ GC.

Ergo: Slash is better.

Satriani and Slash are both great rock guitarists. Joe has made a career out of being an original. Slash's music, while rockin', is Aerosmith ashcan riffs. At least the G & R stuff.

Joe also has better tone song for song. Slash pretty much sounds the same all the time. And he's sloppy on alot of solos.

Some Joe stuff I don't think is so great, but his worst is at least as good as Slash's best. IMO

But what the heck, those guys both kick alot of butt, I'm just an weekend warrior observer in the basement.
