Saw Asia last night

Saw Asia last night here in Connecticut. John Wetton sounded the same as he did back in 82. He was playing his White Zon Leagacy bass. These guys are in their 60s and they still kick ass!

I saw them two weeks ago in Philly and thought they sounded fantastic, especially John Wetton. Great show! The last time I saw them was at a bar/club about 20+ years ago and the only one of the four that was still in the band at that time was Geoff Downes. It was great to see the four of them together.

I also have to pick up the CDs Phoenix, Omega, and Arena. They played a lot of material I didn't know from those albums and I really liked what I heard.

Yeah, I suck, I know that. But at least I suck a little less than I did yesterday.

Carl Palmer (along with Neil, Stewart, and Bonzo) was one of my favourite drummers back then (when I played mostly drums and guitar as a kid).

I heard they were touring again, was it the original line-up?

Yes but John Payne is also touring under the name "Asia with john payne". They are playing here in Connecticut at Foxwoods casino, don't think I'll see them.

Steve howe was awesome, ( my favorite guitarist) , but they all were!

I wish ELP would play again!

Asia has always been one of those bands that I like but will never admit to any of my friends. Glad you saw a great show!
