Saw Esperanza Spalding last night.

Esperanza Spalding was at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor last night. I'm not really a big fan of hers and think her recordings are just so-so. My brother called me up kind of last minute he had an extra ticket, it's just so hard to pass up a free concert. He picked me up and we made the 45 minute drive to Ann Arbor. I have to say I was really impressed. She does a great live show. And I just have to mention the acoustics at the Michigan Theater are incredible. You could have heard a pin drop on stage. And of course you cannot go to Ann Arbor and not go to Zingerman's Deli. That concert definitely made me a fan.

Cool. She was in Toronto on Friday but I couldn't go due to other commitments.

I saw and met her at a Miami University, Ohio show. Awesome talent and great band! I was amazed at her singing while performing some complex bass lines. Beautiful voice as well! Seemed to be very nice and humble.

I saw her concert on PBS a few months back. I was not impressed with the songs, but her playing and singing are fantastic. It doesn't hurt that she's also quite beautiful!
