It's Bryan Beller the guy that writes the Woodshed column in Bass Player. In fact, in this month's issue the Woodshed is about a very difficult bass line in a Vai number.

Read more about Bryan here.

In Montana they have signs over bars that say,"Before engaging your mouth, make sure your mind is in gear!"

I loved seeing/hearing Bryan Beller at the House of Blues last month. I thought his bass tone was KILLER. Vai has used Billy Sheehan the last few tours and I missed having a more traditional bass tone in the band.

Bryan's slaps and pops were clearly audible and he wasn't buried in the mix. Great show and great bass playing.

I only wish I'd got to meet him at the aftershow. Oh well.
