Seattle, WA area GIGSPAM. Ara'Kus: Operatic, immersive, theatratical heavy metal

Sign in to disble this ad
My band, Ara'Kus (| Ara'Kus Productions, Aeterno Elementum) will be performing next Friday and Saturday - August 26th and 27th in the Historic Everett Theatre. Doors will be opening at 7:30pm and the performance will begin at 8:30pm!
This is a Pay What You Can event!

Meaning, you come, walk into the door when it opens, find yourself a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the show. Afterwards, you let us know how much you liked it.

This show has something for everyone. We are, at heart, a heavy metal band telling a chilling tale of the idea of a pure race of people gone awry. While the band performs the music that tells some of this fantasy, there are many other aspects that make our performance immersive. There is dialog from the instruments of man's downfall, on stage fight scenes, brought to you in part by the Seattle Knights (Seattle Knights (Information)). There is also an aerialist, fire dancing and other outstanding performances (such as classical renditions on acoustic guitar and keyboard).
Ara'Kus, musically, is not just guitars screaming and drums beating. We have a full chorus, and a small string section performing with us. We have two outstanding lead sopranos who alone are worth making the trip to see.
Truly something for everyone who has a taste for music, theatre or performance of all kinds.

Come see us one of, or both, nights. Bring your friends. Spread the word. This will be our best performance to date, and we all are extremely excited to put it on for your enjoyment.

Here is a link to a youtube video promo for this months shows:

And here you can download our full length album, again Pay What You Can!

Ray, please bring this show to Portland, and/or maybe I could hook you with a gig in the Gorge.

Wish I could be there, sounds very cool!

Hey Charlie - might have to talk to you about Gorge some time . We do have some wheels spinning for shows down South hopefully ("south" being Tacoma).

Last night went very well! Tonight you all better be there!

Right now I am lamenting that I live on the east coast.
This is a staggering undertaking, and I can't give you enough props for the pwyc system.
Any video clips of full movements? I think I would like this. A lot.

Charlie - one thing we've been struggling with is getting adequate videography of any aspect of our shows. There's some amateur (Cell phone) vids on YouTube. I'm hoping that we get some actual, good footage but I don't think it's going to happen this run . Lots of static pictures out there for sure, but they only scratch the surface.
Thank you for your post

Had a great time at the show last night Ray. You guys put on quite an amazing performance. The story, costumes, music, acting, fighting, aerials, fire dancing... Damn... It all really works well.

Can't wait for the next one!

Thank you for coming, and thank you for the feedback as well. I'll make sure to bring that to our next meeting so we have more input on things to improve.

For those that missed this run, here is one of the first write ups about it:
