What is an instrument(s) you enjoy playing/learning when you are not playing/practicing bass?

For me:

Accordion baby!!!! Yeah baby! My prime love and instrument is bass but I am starting to learn accordion and my friend just landed me his. This thing is pretty hard, I still practice bass more so then this thing but I have to say, its fun!

Hopefully I'll be ordering a mandolin sooner or later. It's the most beautiful sounding instrument, IMO.

But for me, nothing beats bass.

trying to learn keyboard. this will be a nice way to get more melody in my music, that i don't usually achieve on my bass. but i have a 6 string bass coming soon so that ought to help with melodic basslines. but if i'm ever gonna get any practice on keyboard i better bring it downstairs in front of the tv

Guitar mainly. Then piano/keyboard. I really should work up on my keyboard skills more, as my band has considered adding that to our sound every now and again...

The horn! Also a little trumpet. I don't think guitar counts, since it's like a scrawny bass.

accordions rock!

i play guitar and piano (a lame attempt at playing piano really) but i am trying to teach myself harmonica, tin whistle, ocarina, egg shaker, kazoo, and other randomly bought items.

i bought my girlfriend an xylophone a few weeks ago, she is already wailing on it and writing songs.

Actually, my first instrument was saxophone, and I still play it quite regularly.Mostly baritone these days. I picked up bass a couple years ago and fell in love, and now I consider it to be my main instrument.

Keys or guitar. But I'm planning on getting a djembe soon for some awesome rhythm work.

Guitar.

Guitar is actually my first choice to pick up and play since I can combine singing and play alone. I play bass only with live bands and occasionally with CDs if I have to learn a new song.

I've played piano since I was 6. Mainly classical and romantic styles, but I'm now dabbling in some more modern, swing-feel pieces, as well as some traditional Catholic hymns at my Church.

I really want to learn how to play drums, and I wouldn't mind learning Classical Guitar.

Mandolin. I have one, and I need to work more with it.

I'd also like to have a flute. I used to play really well, but my instrument got ruined in a flood.

I have a keyboard, which I almost never play. I used to be a good classical note-reader, but never *enjoyed* playing piano.

I like bass best!

Cherie
