I went to see Tool at Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan this past Friday. Probably the best concert I ever been to.
This my second time seeing the band and I was completely blown away. Their stage show was amazing - the stage was all white, even some of the monitors around Danny Carey's kit were painted white. When they started playing they had projectors that went on the stage and played all these intense graphics, it looked like the stage was a gigantic screen.
Justin Chancellor's tone was fantastic. He was using a Mesa 4x12 cab.
Any other Tool fans here wish to share their concert experiences?

Cool man. A few people from my college are going to see them. Or...went to see them. One of the two.

Maynard was sporting a Maple Leafs jersey at the start when they opened with Stinkfist Danny Carey is an absolute monster behind his kit, and Justin was unbelievable the whole show. And to top it off, it started pouring rain when they played aenema

Maynard did show his face, he was walking around stage in a cowboy hat haha. I think he was kinda pissed at the audience, whenever he held his mic out it seemed like almost nobody knew any of the lyrics... Strange. But a very energetic show, and Justic was amazing.
In a recent Bass Player mag I remembered reading about how Justin still had to sit down to play 10,000 days and how he really wanted to get better with fingerstyle because he "wasn't comfortable about pulling out the ol' stool in front of a huge audience"...
Well, come 10,000 Days, out came the stool. Haha, I just found that pretty funny. Great bassist though, and definitely had the best stage presence out of all of them as well.

They were tight and the music was awesome but they don't really do much on stage. The second time I saw them, I was so bored that I fell asleep, yes, out cold sleep. |

On a related topic, it takes Tool 10,000 days to release an album. |
