Semi Hollow Body Bass Case

Sign in to disble this ad
I just bought a vintage red Epiphone EA-260 semi hollow body bass and I'm looking for a hardshell case for it. Could anyone recommend a good, affordable one that my bass would fit in? Much appreciated.

I'm guessing your bass would fit in most any brand of acoustic bass guitar case. My local guitar centers stocked a large Road Runner brand hard case made for 34" scale acoustic bass guitars. It was around $100 and fairly decent quality. Its probably thicker than you need but you could shim it up by folding a large towel under your bass.

I was wondering if the Epiphone Jack Casady HB case would fit it?

Epiphone Jack Casady case should fit. They run about $120. which would make them the best low cost option.

PS, I have one, I can measure the interior dimensions if you like.

The head of the case is kind of a bespoke splayed out thing, but it gives great protection.

I believe that's short scale and the Casady is 34". Guitar Center carries a Road Runner case that fits the Gretsch 5123 (32" scale) and might fit the EA-260.

I've got an Epiphone Jack Casady, and the hardshell case for that bass seems fairly specific to that bass. There's not a whole lot of room for it to move around. And the shape of the Epiphone EA-260 seems different enough from the JC bass where it could be an issue. A better bet might be the case for the Lakland Hollowbody. Bass Central has that case, although it runs $165. You might also consider cases that would fit a Guild Starfire as well.
