Serial Numbers

Hey, i was hoping someone would be able to tell me how to read the Fender serial numbers? Just so i can find out where and when a guitar was made.

First letter is decade.

S-70's, E-80's, N-90's, Z-00's.
Next number is the year in the decade.

i.e. a serial that starts with E7 was made in 87.
