I was beginning to get an overwhelming case of brain ache this afternoon while doing some research for an upcoming presentation (working from home, thankyouverymuch) and to alleviate the sheer boredom everything I was reading, I picked up a bass and start noodling around... A familiar, yet distant memory of a lick came out from under my fingers...

"WHAT IS THAT LICK?!?!" I thought to myself... I haven't played it in many, many years, but I know it was one of the first songs I learned to play back when I first started playing.

A short, embarrassing trip to YouTube affirmed what my subconscious brain had dredged up on this mind numbing afternoon:

Quiet Riot - "Bang Your Head (Metal Health)"

Fitting No?

Anyone else have an "Oh my Dog I can't believe I remembered that lick" moment?
