Setups for Extended Range Basses in Chicago

I wasn't sure which forum to post this in.

Anyways I live in Chicago and I've been going to this place to get my stuff repaired/setup for years and they've done a good job with everything but setting up my 6 string. The action is just too damn high at the 12th fret and makes upper register chords extremely difficult. I even specifically asked the guy last time to do something to lower it. Since at this point I rarely if ever play the 4 string anymore this is starting to really annoy me.

Anyone have a recommendation on a guy or a shop that either specializes or actually does these on a regular enough basis to know what they are doing?

I somewhat get the feeling I should just pm Jauqo XIII for some reason

But in all seriousness where do you get your basses setup or do you do it yourself?

re: set ups in Chicago

I've been using Guitar Works in Evanston for over 15 years. They've built, modified and done set ups for me. I tried a couple of other places but they were hacks compared to GW.
