Seymour Duncan "Pickup Booster"

Has anyone used this product?

I'm wondering if it works for active basses, or just for passive ones.

Couldn't you damage your speakers with this?

It seems like a cheap alternative for getting more volume. So what does everyone think?

(Does it even work for bass!?)

Just a clean boost. Nothing wrong with that.

Here is my main concern...

I'm wondering if this will just overdrive my amp.

Is your amp tube by any chance?

No. So it will be a horrible clipping sound.

No, not necessarily. This thing wouldn't be much use with a SS amp. But if you were to run it in front of a distortion box, you could make it really scream.
