I've seen some cool tips and tricks regarding gear in my time here on TB and I thought it'd be cool to organize it all into one thread. Things that make you go "Of course! Why didn't I think of that?" Post pics, maybe even give a little write up or how to guide about it.

For example, I remember in one of the pedalboard threads, there was a user who made a pedalboard that also functioned as a mic stand. And other people with rack gear with front mounted inputs who kept their racks looking professional by simply drilling a hole in a rack panel and running the leads through the hole and to the inputs.

I personally don't have much to contribute, but I'll give it a shot.

1. I hate loose picks, so I bought one of those Jim Dunlop Scotty Pick Holders, and stuck it to my Furman power conditioner.

A set of headphones will double as a mic in a pinch, you have to be pretty desperate though, its not a great sound and you have to scream pretty loud into those cans.

My 0.2$
I store all my picks (at least those, that I might use)) in a Zippo-lighter leather bag and hang it to the strap, this way I have all the picks in one place on my shloulder and it looks cool

There always seems to be beer at practice (Strange, I know) so I screwed a wall mount bottle opener onto the back of my Hoppus P Bass. I wouldn't have done it to a nicer instrument, but cosmetically, it was pretty rough when I bought it. It works quite well! I can open a beer with my right hand and still play with my left. It also turns out it makes for pretty good stage shtick too.
