Sign in to disble this ad
I am moving to Honolulu shortly and have 2 basses (J & P in HSCs) that I want to take with me. Does anyone know the best/cheapest way to ship them. Thanks.

Aloha,
I would use Fedex Ground. Depending on the size Post office might be second choice.

Good luck with *that*. Unless I'm seriously out of the loop, I don't think there are any roads running from the mainland to Hawaii. Shipments to Hawaii go air.

As far as cost, FedEx is cheaper than UPS, guaranteed.

I don't know what airline you're booked with, but inquire about checking them as baggage. Prices for that are all over the board lately.

I hope your kidding~ Fedex 'ground' will have your basses on a slow, damp Matson Navigation ship for a month. Use Fedex Air & make sure you are in Honolulu waiting for them (you don't want them waiting in a warm, damp Fedex storage warehouse either).

UPS & FedEX require you to ship air. They don't have another method. At least it was never offered to me when I shipp there.
There isn't any other choice.
And it isn't cheap.
