Shipping Companies???

I just got a quote from UPS of around $400 to ship a bass from Canada to Mexico. I had been using Eagle Global Logistics for years but since they have been bought by another company I can't make sense of their website. Anyone been using an international shipping company whose service and rates they're happy with?

I haven't shipped anything in a long time. The biggest expense seems to be customs. I was going to trade a bass with a guy in Canada but it wasn't worth it by the time the custom charges were calculated.

That shouldn't be an issue here. The bass was made in a NAFTA country and it's going to a NAFTA country.

It's not quite that simple. The bass would have to be manufactured in the country it's being shipped from. For example, I bought an F Bass (Canadian, NAFTA) from a TBer in Israel (NAFTA), and had it shipped to me in the U.S. (NAFTA). The duty was about $350 (ten percent).

I should have had him ship it to George in Canada, then had George ship it to me.
