Shipping for a Lakland 55-02

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm trying to determine shipping costs for a Lakland 55-02 w/Lakeland soft case. I don't have a box, but was wondering what the estimated dimensions and weight to use for shipping estimates. Can someone tell me what weight/dimensions I could use to get an estimate so I can put mine up for sale/trade?

Thanks

Use 55" x 15" x 6" for a quick box dimension reference. Your weight will be in the 25 lb range. I usually use 20 lbs and print my own labels at home. The UPS store will always cost more as they are independently owned. I just shipped a 5502 in a Lakland cream case to Fairfax VA from Nashua NH for $18.

Thanks. Just what I was looking for. Wish I saw you post before I shipped out my last axe. I shipped a guitar from the UPS Store and it costs about $125 and that was without insurance (yikes). What company did you use to ship the Lakland for $18 bucks?

Probably UPS. I've found out real quick that you can save by just creating your own UPS account and printing your own shipping labels. I shipped two last week for $23ish.

Edit: And that was insured, around 20lbs., and in boxes that were about the same diminsions as given by Mound.
