Shipping a neck-thru overseas with usps

I will most probably have an expensive neckthru bass sent to me from the usa to greece with usps. It will come in a soft gigbag. Do you think that's safe? There will be practically no insurance to escape taxes and I'm more worried because it's neck-thru, as I won't be able to replace the neck in case it breaks. Had any of you had any of their basses broken in shipping? Should I have it sent in a flight case? That would mean extra shipping and taxes..

I would really advise against this. You NEED to send it in a flight case. I fear for a bass in a gigbag.

OTOH it's a warwick, they should REALLY try to break this one, like jump on it or something. (or not?)

Has anyone had any experience with these warwick bags?

Would that do the job or is it too soft as well?

if you're having the sender declare a lower value, you're stuffed if it breaks in transit. Use a hard case.

How about this one, has anyone seen one of those? Would this fit a Warwick with its gigbag?
