Shipping outside the USA

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi

I've noticed that quite a number of private sellers will only ship to the lower 48 states. This has twarted a couple of my GAS attacks! USPS seems to be about $100 to the U.K which I'm happy to pay.

Is there a big hassle about shipping outside the US (or to Alaska & Hawaii.) Is it just personal preference, or a fear of being ripped off?

Cheers

To bad really.. basses are usually alot cheaper new over there, and when they are used it basically means a great bargain for us

It indeed does, and thank god for the ones that arent scared of shipping overseas. I wouldn't own the great gear I do now if it werent for them.

On a sidenote, dont let your hopes down, I've bought/traded 5-6 basses on TB, all of them to americans, and everything always went smoothly and both parties were always satisfied

For me, it's personal preference and time constraints. I'm a full time college student with a part time job and other obligations. I have no problem with the paperwork, but God forbid anything goes wrong, I wouldn't have the time to deal with it in a timely manner, and I refuse to sell something where I can't provide 100% service.
